Mike Vajo

Playing:

• Have played competitive volleyball–indoor and out–for nearly 20 years
• Currently compete at the Pro level in Great American Volleyball events.
• Member of team Cru Thik/Powerbar volleyball–a club comprised of coaches and players, many of whom are actively involved with the WWVBC/PVC program.
• Have played in several AVP qualifying events.
• Competed for 4 years with the Toyota Pro Beach Volleyball tour, played against Gold medalist Phil Dahlhauser.

Carolyn Cooper

Playing:

• Starting Middle Blocker/Opposite for University of Notre Dame from 2002-2005; with her team ranked in the top four Nationally with blocking her senior year.
• Recorded a career best of 14 Kills against West Virginia in 2004.
• Was a key contributor to Notre Dame’s first ever win over Long Beach State in 2004; hitting .462 for the match with 8 blocks and 12 kills.
• Trained and competed with the US Youth National Team in 2000.
• Earned All-State honors while attending Lutheran South Academy (high school) in Houston Texas.

Coaching:

• Current coach with the Princeton University Women’s Volleyball Team (DI).
• Coached various camps and junior programs throughout the country since graduating from Notre Dame University.

Scott Reily

Playing:

• Have played volleyball (indoor and out) for 19 years.
• Played in various leagues and on GEVA Adult club team.

• Gold Medal Squared Volleyball Coach Certified
• Run the intramural volleyball program at Freehold Middle School
• Have eight years of coaching experience with various sports and am currently a middle school teacher

Joe Schweitzer

Playing:

• Began playing (indoor and out) since 1981
• Played in the NJ Stateline League for 3 years, won title once
• Played USVBA A/BB for 10 years with the Livingston Volleyball Club
• Played BB level rec leagues for 20 years.

Sarah Ambach

Playing:

• Starting Middle Blocker for Holy Family University since freshman year; team went to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships two years straight.
• Recorded team-high 17 kills against Queens College in 2011.
• Holy Family University Athlete of the Week twice in 2011 season.
• 2011-2012 career year: set new career highs in total kills (325), attack percentage (.303), service aces (4), solo blocks (23) and total blocks (74)
• 2011-2012: Her .303 attack percentage led the conference and is the highest ever recorded in program history in a single season. (Also set the record freshman year with a .280 attack percentage).
• Ranked sixth in program history with 142 total blocks
• 2011-2012: Ambach was named to the Capital One Academic All-District 1 First Team, Daktronics, Inc. women’s volleyball All-East Region team, CACC Second-team All-Conference, and earned All-Tournament laurels at this year’s CACC Championship
• Earned conference and district honors while attending Springboro High School (Ohio) in Springboro, Ohio.
