Who are we and how does the club operate?
Our club, the only based out of Mercer County, is a program intended to aid in the development of youth volleyball players in and around the West Windsor/Plainsboro area. Started several years ago by Michael Adams, head coach of the WW-P Boys and Girls varsity volleyball teams, the club is staffed by several excellent coaches with over 100 years of combined experience in playing and coaching. We are comprised of five teams, separated by gender/age/skill level as determined through a multi-day tryout.
What to expect:
Once the teams are formed, practices start and run typically 2 days per week. After about a month of practice the real fun begins…the games! Different than high school volleyball which generally has a few matches each week, our program competes in an all-day tournament style occurring roughly 2 weekend days per month. Each tournament runs for one full day and allows the teams to compete against teams of similar age/skill level from New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. All tournaments take place within an hour and a half drive; carpools are assigned well in advance in an effort to help the driving parents balance out their own busy schedules. The season runs from early December through mid-May. With every tournament averaging 8-10 games, what better way to prepare for next years high school season?!?
Who is invited to try out?
Tryouts are open to any and all high school girl’s and boy’s volleyball players who are willing and able to truly “commit” to the program. This will enable players to make new friends from many surrounding schools as the team make-up does not focus on the players’ respective high school teams.
What type of commitment is expected?
While we would love to be able to find a team for every interested player, limited court space and competent coaching resources make this a difficult task when trying to keep teams small enough to ensure ample playing time for all players. With this in mind we ask that any players attempting to join a team, done through a tryout, be willing and able to truly commit to their chosen team (attempting to make most practices and scheduled tournaments).

TRYOUT DETAILS
- When are the tryouts? Tryouts will occur over the course of two days:
- TBA
- Where are the tryouts? West Windsor Plainsboro South High School gymnasium. The school is located at 346 Clarksville Rd, Princeton Junction NJ, 08550. Directions: From Route 1, heading southbound, take the second ramp for Quakerbridge Road and merge onto Quakerbridge Road South (passing Quakerbridge Mall on the right). At the second light make a left onto Clarksville road and follow 3.8 miles until you see the school on the right (immediately after the second traffic light). IMPORTANT NOTE: There are two gymnasium’s in the school, if you do not find us in one, look in the other!!!
Tryout Checklist: All players should come prepared with the following (no exceptions):
- Sneakers, athletic clothing and a water bottle.
- We require a check deposit of $TBA per player (payable WWVBC) to be handed in at the beginning of tryouts. If your player does not make a team or chooses not to play by the deadline (TBA), this check will be destroyed. The attached form must be completed prior to arriving at the tryout.
Should a parent/guardian be in attendance?
YES- only at the beginning and end of each tryout evening.
